FISHCAMP is a 4 night, 5-day summer flyfishing camp for kids in Northern California at our own Antelope Creek Lodge. It is a unique program that offers children the opportunity to experience the mystique of fly fishing coupled with the serenity of the outdoors. Boys and girls, 10-15 years of age, arrive with smiles painted on their faces and sleeping bags in hand with the anticipation of fish. One thing is for sure; campers catch fish, meet new friends, and experience adventures in the beauty of the outdoors.

Imagine your child rising every morning to the smell of bacon, eggs, and hot chocolate wafting through the woods of the beautiful high country. Our camp cooks fill their bellies and warm their hearts with laughter, preparing them for days filled with fishing and fun. Campers learn various fly casts, fishing techniques and strategies, reading the water, safe wading, and even the basic bugs that trout like to eat. In the evenings, we often learn to tie our own fly creations before sitting down to stories and s'mores by the campfire.

FISHCAMP, a destination: FISHCAMP is located in the shadows of Mount Shasta near the town of Weed, California. FISHCAMP is only 3 1/2 hours from San Francisco and 5 1/2 hours from Portland. FISHCAMP is a privately leased ranch with both a stream and two lakes teeming with fish. Campers are housed in state of the art walled tents where they rest their heads on comfortable cots. Bathroom and shower facilities are brand new with flush toilets, plenty of hot water, and separate facilities for boys and girls.

FISHCAMP, our family: The FISHCAMP staff is a selected group of talented individuals who make learning fun and easy. Our team of counselors are patient experts who enjoy sharing their love of flyfishing with children. They are role models who share their positive attitudes on life with the campers. FISHCAMP is not only a kid's dream, but also a parent's dream to share the healthy lifestyle of flyfishing. Flyfishing can open up a world of mystery and passion for a child to develop for the rest of their life.

FISHCAMP INCLUDES:
$750 Per Angler - - - All accommodations and meals, as well as the use of the finest fishing tools available (from Sage, Winston, Scott, Redington, and G. Loomis). Every fly, leader, tippet, rod, reel, and drop of fly floatant is included in the package, as well as the Mel Krieger School Notebook, souvenir caps and tee-shirt. Everything, but the sleeping bag.
